Livfit Philosophy & Policies

Our philosophy is simple and straight forward. The program is mentally challenging and physically demanding.  We believe there is no quick fix or magic formula to obtaining a high level of fitness. With that in mind, the program is designed for people of all ages who are serious about achieving and maintaining a high-level of fitness.

Workout Structure

All workouts start with a 5 minute warm up, followed by a series of exercises designed to challenge both the cardio and strength components of fitness, followed by 10 minutes of stretching. Our goal is to make all workouts adaptable, yet challenging, for all age groups and fitness levels.

Measureable Progress

Workout are often recorded and timed so that individuals can measure their own improvements and accomplishments.

Back to Basics

The following basic exercises are done with a significant amount of attention given to learning and maintaining proper technique. It is our belief that all individuals should be able to perform the following exercises at safe and appropriate levels.  All exercises can be creatively varied and adapted.

 Push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and running-

The ability to move ones own body weight can play a significant role

in developing strength and lean muscle mass.

Squat, dead lift and clean & jerk-

These are multi-joint function exercises that are very important in the development of total body power and strength.

  Balance and Core development

The stomach, lower back, and hips are areas that are often neglected in many workout programs.   Developing the core helps individuals maintain good posture and increases all athletic performance.

Things to remember….

You only get out what you put in.

Nothing of great value can be accomplished without hard work.

Sweat is good.

Whining is not allowed.

Fitness is a lifestyle.

Program Policies

  • A program waiver (medical history and liability release) must be fully completed and turned in before staring the program.

  • Program fee must be paid before the start of each monthly session.

  • Our maximum class capacity is 12 in the Livfit area.

  • All individuals must sign up for a specific time slot.  Individuals can make up a class only if that class is not full. (Example: if you miss Monday morning, you can go on Tuesday night if the class is not full.)

  • Missed classes are not carried over into the next session unless classes are missed for medical reasons as prescribed by a doctor.

  • Classes are not prorated unless you are a new member starting in the middle of the month.

  • If a class is cancelled for any reason other than inclement weather, all participants will receive a credit for the next session.
